Working Transitions

Another working transition to move through today. My boss resigned earlier this month to move to another state and job. Today is his last day in the office and then he hits the road. I'm excited for him and glad that he was able to make this transitional change for him and his family.

Last week the children's center of the church closed. The enrollment was too low for too long. It's very quiet in this large building now. I'm not sure how I like it or how long it will take for me to get used to it.

Every last allows a new first. (write that down)

Who I am ...

I am who God says I am. :)

"Dear One, the time has come to believe God. The time has come for us to renounce the words others have spoken over us that don't line up with the truth of God's Word. And while we're at it, let's give others the same privilege we want for ourselves. They get to be who God says they are, too."  ~ from August 13th, Believing God Day by Day by the wonderful and talented Beth Moore. Click here http://www.lifeway.com/Product/believing-god-day-by-day-p005150985 if you'd like to to purchase this book.

Going to live this one out today.  I need to be reminded of this SO often.

I'm excited!

Hi there, I can't even tell you how sad I am that I haven't been writing consistently, such a bummer. I hate it when "life" takes over and I allow it to take my fun things away. :( Anyhow, I've begun a new blog, and I'm so excited! :) Check out My PinParty! http://pinparty.blogspot.com/. Let me know what you think and if you'd like to be included. Talk at ya later!

February One

Holy Cow, how is it possibly Feb 1st, 2012 already?!?
It doesn't seem possible that a full month of the new year has already gone by.
Yesterday I was looking back on January 2012 thinking,
"What did I want to get done this month?" Did I get it done?"
"What am I proud of this month?"
"How did I take a step closer to my dreams this month?"
"How do I feel about Jan '12?"
"Did I begin 2012 strong?"

Answering these questions is kinda depressing...
- I don't know really, I wanted to map out 2012. Probably not, not really.
- I'm proud that.... well?
- I don't know if I did.
- Fine. Annoyed that it's already gone.
- Nope, guess not. :)

Overall, I think Jan '12 was a happy month. The beginning of a new year always brings in extra energy and new found goals. And of course, I have some new goals myself. Some make me feel lazy cuz they seem so far away; others scare the crap out of me, cuz I don't know where that desire came from. Some parts of life have gotten comfortable and cozy, while others are still prickles in our butt. I've been in great thought over how I would like to see 2012 go. What do I want? to do? be? and create? I don't feel like I've got all the answers yet, but I do feel like January was a big preparation month.

Bang Bang Bangity Bang

Finally after about two months my bangs are looking not only decent but cut straight. In November I made a mistake of going to a chop shop with DH for a holiday hair clean up. Not that I have anything against that place but the lady that cut my hair was awful. I hope that she was just having a bad day, but that bad day ruined my bangs so bad that it took me two hours to fix my hair later that weekend. And now with another quick trim, I think they are finally straight. Or closer than they've been in two months, so I am happy. it's sad that I'm better with my own hair than someone who did/does it for a living.

pin!

I think I just fell in love with a new website. It's Pinterest. You'll need an invitation to join, so drop me a comment and I'll be sure to invite you to the dark side. Like I needed a new way to play, but I'm already appreciating the way that it allows you to "gather" your thoughts. Pin-away! :)
